![]() ![]() We’re starting to believe that Virgil wasn’t being entirely honest. That night, she mills about, searching for the weapons anyway. Michonne just wants what she came for and to leave, but Virgil is stalling, finding reasons for her to stay the night. At least we’re pretty sure it’s her with the tragic look he gives the walker. A horrifying scene, leaving us with chills, especially after Virgil picks up his wife’s shoe and puts it back on her foot. They come to a room where several people had hung themselves and are now dangling from the ceiling as walkers. ![]() Michonne being the badass she takes them on while managing to protect Virgil. The other walkers hear and follow the sound. Though they move stealthily, it doesn’t last when Virgil gets caught up on a cart and causes it to fall over. ![]() With Virgil close on her heels, Michonne goes inside the abandoned building and kills the walkers one by one. That’s the true reason he wanted her to come with him. He explains how the island was wiped out by violence and illness and that he was hoping she’d help put his family, which are now walkers, down. She’s more than angry with his dishonesty and turns to leave him to find the depot on her own but he stops her. Michonne stops right quick, pointing her sword at him, demanding that they get to his family now. Personally, we get hung up on the map on an old chalkboard that is labeled Group 1 and Group 2. Virgil talks about his family as Michonne takes in her surroundings. They come to an open area that’s been lived in. She asks about the ammunitions depot and he leads her onward. She doesn’t want to be away from her kids longer than she has to. When the two reach land, Virgil seems to dawdle and Michonne grows impatient. Now, if we remember back to the first half of the season, Michonne left RJ and Judith (Cailey Fleming) in the hands of Daryl (Norman Reedus) as she went with Virgil (Kevin Carroll), the man that she and Luke (Dan Fogel) caught in the library, to get weapons to defeat The Whisperers. However, instead of Michonne helping her, she turns away and leaves her to be eaten by the walkers–the screams echoing through the woods. It’s a flashback to the end of season 2 but the beginning of season 3 when Andrea was on the run from a mass of walkers after the farm was overtaken. Michonne (Danai Gurira) with two pet walkers that are armless and jawless. The episode begins, with a familiar sight. While we can’t wait to see what’s next, this week we finally got to catch up with Michonne in this phenomenal send-off episode. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Earl and Mary, but we celebrated when Negan revealed that he’d been in cahoots with Carol when he brought Alpha’s head to her. Last week we received the non-stop action and intensity we’ve been waiting for since The Whisperers joined The Walking Dead. ![]()
